December 5th is St Nicholas's Night, which means one thing to naughty children in the Alpine region: Krampus is coming!
Join Media Gothic author Matt Lake for an evening celebrating some of the darker elements of a traditional Christmas.
There will be tales of strange dark creatures who lurk around holiday celebrations all around the world. There will be photo ops with a traditional St Nicholas and his sidekick, the Krampus. There will be caroling from the book Krampus Carols Ancient and Modern. Book is free with ticketed admission. If you have this book from last year's event, please bring it to sing along. You will be able to choose another book as part of your admission fee! There will be a reading of the Naughty List, followed by punishments and absolution. And finally, we will stroll down State Street in Krampus costumes, jingling all the way. Costumes, masks, and/or devil horns are strongly encouraged!
