A note from festival director Jared Delaney
The Media Film Festival occupies a unique space in the greater Philadelphia arts community: the only festival dedicated to not only short films, but also short screenplays, in the area. Shorts are how good filmmakers become great filmmakers and we’re excited to be part of that journey.
We also encourage greater Philadelphia student filmmakers to submit their short films & screenplays to the festival for consideration.

inaugural short screenplay competition
The Media Film Festival is seeking original, unproduced short screenplays (up to 30 pages in length), across all genres for its inaugural screenplay competition. 5 screenplays will be selected for live readings with professional actors in front of an audience, with feedback following, along with an opportunity to meet other working screenwriters and filmmakers. First 100 submissions accepted.
