SUMMER CAMP: Folk Arts & Crafts with Katie O’Neill
July 14th-18th, 2025 Ages 7-11 At 33 W 3rd St, Media, PA 19063 (Campbell AME Church of Media)
A playful introduction to the motifs of global Folk Arts and Crafts. Students will learn about the colorful and decorative geometric and natural patterns inspired by the handicraft traditions of Morocco, India, Mexico, Mali, local Pennsylvania Dutch and others. We’ll spend the week exploring symbolism, techniques and materials to create our own designs for block prints, paintings, sculptures, tiles, flags, textiles and more. On the final day of camp, students will host a festive fair sharing their creations.
Cost: $400 per registrant $350 per registrant for MAC members $50 sibling discount ($50 for each additional child past first registered)
